Copernicus Marine Environment Monitoring Service

In the framework of implementing and operating the Copernicus Marine Service, Mercator Ocean aims to keep delivering and maintaining a competitive and state-of-the-art European service responding to public and private intermediate user needs.

To this end,  Mercator Ocean has issued two rounds of calls for tenders to support 2-year projects (2016-2018 and 2018-2020) on cutting-edge science and technological developments. The goal is to ensure the evolution of the service and to keep it state-of-the-art, with the potential of incorporating improvements developped by the projects within three years.

CMEMS Service Evolution 2nd Call for tenders 2018-2020

A second call for tenders was issued in August 2017. Eighteen 2-yr projects were selected for the period April 2018-March 2020. These projects focus on scientific and/or technical issues identified as priority in the Copernicus Marine Environment Monitoring Service (CMEMS) Service Evolution Strategy: R&D priorities v2017 document.
