Context

Improvement of the sea-atmosphere interaction of ammonia in the co-operative programme for monitoring and evaluation of the long-range transmission of air pollutants in Europe (EMEP) model with specific application for the Netherlands and the North Sea.

MERCATOR OCEAN SUPPORT

Mercator Ocean brings its modelling expertise to the ammonium concentration, pH, salinity of sea water and sea surface temperatures.

Use

Data obtained are long-term monthly values for the four components from 1993-2016 that are used for reanalysis purposes to better understand the physical and biogeochemical processes that affect the sea-air interaction of ammonia.
