Mercator Ocean international is committed in international frameworks and scientific working groups to set up international standards to monitor the ocean and develop operational oceanography. The first step is to defining where and how new capacities are needed by making an inventory of the operational oceanography and ocean forecasting services. This map is a first step into building a relevant catalogue. It is at this point not exhaustive and any center that is not included can send us information to be added by filling the form below.
The map below shows centers providing two different types of ocean products: observations or models. Filters can help you selecting established services and services that are being developed in the current moment.
Disclaimer: this content has been produced according to the reputation and with a set of documents from the websites of each of the operational oceanography and marine forecasting centres. None of the identified centres have been formally contacted and some may have been overlooked.
